Wantaway Manchester United star Paul Pogba could be a huge part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans, if the Paris Saint-Germain manager replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Pogba’s Old Trafford future appears to be finite, with his current contract set to expire next summer.
A free transfer out of the red half of Manchester seems to be becoming more inevitable with every passing day.
If the World Cup winner is to leave United at the end of his deal in June 2022, it would be the second time in ten years he has left the club on a free transfer.
His future has been a constant saga since the summer transfer window when he was repeatedly linked with a move away from the club.
However, previous comments Pochettino made to the Daily Mirror suggest the Frenchman could play a key role if the former Southampton manager takes over the reins at Old Trafford.

Despite his current position at the helm of the Parc des Princes, Pochettino appears to be the current favourite to replace Solskjaer.
Reports from the Daily Mirror have even gone as far to say the former Tottenham Hotspur boss would even consider leaving PSG and joining United this season.
And if the Argentinean did seal a stunning return to the Premier League; previous comments made during his time at Spurs suggest there is every possibility Pogba could be one of the main heart beats of his side.
When Dele Alli was entrenching himself as one of the best young players in Europe, Pochettino alluded to the Frenchman; stating Alli’s versatility needs to be like that of Pogba’s.

“Today, football is about being versatile,” Pochettino said before a Premier League match against Leicester City in 2016.
“We need to help a player like Dele Alli improve, not put him in a box.
“He needs to feel free on the pitch and we need to help him improve in different positions because a versatile player, like Pogba, has a big, big value.”
Pochettino is also said to have made Pogba one of his No.1 top transfer targets in the summer transfer window.
It is believed he views Pogba as somebody he could potentially build an entire team around.

Unfortunately for Pochettino, a move for Pogba failed to materialise, and the Parisians concluded their transfer business with the sensational acquisition of Lionel Messi.
Pogba began the season in remarkable fashion by contributing a remarkable seven assists in his opening four Premier League matches, four of which coming in United’s opening 5-1 victory against Leeds United.
And with Pochettino’s past opinions on Pogba and PSG’s frequent courting of the 28-year-old, there is plenty of reason to believe the former Juventus midfielder would play an enormous role under Argentinean.
Pogba is currently side-lined with a hamstring injury, suffered while on international duty with France.
Meanwhile, United current caretaker manager Michael Carrick will oversee their crucial Champions League away match against Villarreal.
