Paris Saint-Germain reportedly have no ‘genuine interest’ in signing Hector Bellerin, despite reports linking them with a move for the Arsenal defender. The Spaniard has been with the Gunners since 2011, but could look to leave the club at the end of the season.

Reports suggest Bellerin is looking to end his stay in north London, with a host of clubs touted as potential destinations.

PSG were one of those, after they had a well publicised pursuit of the right-back during the summer window.

A bid of £25m was made but Arsenal were looking for closer to £35m, according to CBS Sports.

That offer never came and Alessandro Florenzi was brought in from Roma on loan instead, leaving the door open to Bellerin in the near future.

It has been suggested that the 25-year-old has made it clear to Mikel Arteta that he has no intention of spending his prime years with a club in transition.

Winning the FA Cup held off a decision for another year but after another difficult season, Bellerin is ready to revive his interest in leaving.

CBS Sports cited the French champions as one of a number of clubs in the race, with Barcelona also credited with an interest.

Bellerin was born in Barcelona, but the La Liga giants are also in the midst of a major rebuild, which cut put him off a potential transfer.

As well as the two European super-clubs, there are another two from Italy who are interested.

Though it is not stated who is looking at the Spaniard, there has been rumours Juventus and Inter Milan have taken a closer look in the past.

However, GFFN claim that PSG have no genuine interest, hinting that new boss Mauricio Pochettino will look elsewhere.

Bellerin has been a regular for the Gunners this season, making 27 appearances in all competitions.

In reserve however, Cedric Soares has repeatedly impressed when handed opportunities in place of Bellerin.

Soares has played 18 times this campaign, with the majority of those opportunites coming in the Europa League, where Arsenal remain unbeaten.

The former Southampton defender spent an extended spell on the sidelines following his arrival, but his move was made permanent at the end of last season.

Speaking towards the end of the last campaign, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hinted that Soares offered something completely different to the other full-back options at his disposal.

“He’s a different quality in the full-back area than what we have,” Arteta said. “He’s a gifted, technical player and is probably the best we have in the final third to make the right decision and attack the box as well.

“He can play in a four or a five, he’s a really good player with experience in the Premier League that can help us.”
