Mason Greenwood will be paid £8m by Man United if he stays until 2025
Mason Greenwood ‘will be paid £8MILLION by Manchester United if the forward remains at the club until the end of his contract’… as Red Devils face final decision on his future amid investigation
- Mason Greenwood has two years remaining on his Manchester United contract
- 21-year-old earns £75,000-a-week but hasn’t played since January of last year
- Multiple clubs are reportedly interested in signing forward on loan this summer
Mason Greenwood will be paid a further £8million by Manchester United if he remains at the club until his contract expires in 2025.
After graduating from the United’s academy, Greenwood was handed a four-and-a-half-year deal by the club in 2021 after breaking into the first team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Greenwood last played for United in January of 2022 prior to being suspended by the club after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
The charges against the 21-year-old were dropped in February, but the club have continued to conduct an internal investigation into the matter.
During this time the one-time England international has not been allowed to return to training but has continued to receive his £75,000-per-week wages.

Greenwood has been free to return to football since the charges against him have been dropped, but the player has reportedly told friends that he believes that he will never play for the club again.
A source close to the youngster told The Sun last month: ‘Mason believes he’s finished at United.
‘He’s sat at home kicking his heels and very frustrated.
‘He wants to get back playing football but realises his situation is very complicated and it’s his own doing.
‘He is determined to play football again but doesn’t think he’ll ever pull on a United shirt ever again.’
It is believed United are willing to send the forward out on loan, and that a number of European clubs would be interested in securing his signature.

Juventus have previously been linked with a move for Greenwood, and Serie A rivals AC Milan have also reportedly shown an interest in signing him, with the club said to admire the player’s technical quality.
Prior to his arrest Greenwood was viewed as one of the most exciting talents to have emerged from United’s famed academy system in recent years.
Greenwood made his first-team debut with the club in March of 2019 and has gone on to score 35 goals in 127 appearances in all competitions.
