Mason Greenwood denied Man Utd shirt number as three exits get closer

Premier League season preview: Man Utd

The Premier League season gets underway later today and Manchester United still have signings to make. With around three weeks to go until the summer transfer deadline on September 1; a midfielder, a centre-back and a goalkeeper are all believed to be on manager Erik ten Hag’s wish list.

Manchester City travel to Turf Moor this evening as Burnley aim to land an early blow to Pep Guardiola’s title defence. United have to wait until Monday night to get their own campaign underway, although they’ll fancy their chances of a win at home to Wolves.

Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund have been snapped up by the Red Devils, with all three improving the spine of Ten Hag’s team. But squad additions will be required before the end of the month if United are to keep pace with the division’s heavy hitters.
