Marseille are showing interest in Fulham’s USA international full-back Antonee Robinson, while the Cottagers are considering a move for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.
The French side are preparing for the arrival of new manager Marcelino to replace Igor Tudor, and it could mean a change in system for the club. Tudor preferred to play 3-5-2, but his successor likes to deploy a flat back four – leaving Marseille in the market for full-backs.
Nuno Tavares and Issa Kabors have both left following the expiry of their loan deals, while Sead Kolasinac is yet to extend his contract and it means they have targeted new names on both flanks.
One of those names is Fulham’s Robinson, who played a key role in the Cottagers’ successful return to the Premier League last season.
Antonee Robinson is a target for Marseille after impressing with Fulham in the Premier League
Robinson is a USA international and helped the side to CONCACAF Nations League triumph
The American international played 38 times for Marco Silva’s men, and his performances have attracted the attention of several clubs – including AC Milan and Manchester City.
He also won 36 caps for the USA national team and was part of the squad that won the CONCACAF Nations League last week.
Fulham would be reluctant to let Robinson leave the club and are hopeful of tying him to a new contract, with his current deal expiring at the end of next season.
Fulham could look to add Norwich’s England U21 defender Max Aarons to their squad
The West London club could also be in the market for a new full-back themselves and are plotting a move for Norwich’s Max Aarons.
Aarons, currently on international duty with England’s U21’s at the Euros, is seen as competition in the right-back area for Kenny Tete – especially with Cedric Soares on his way back to his parent club Arsenal.
The 23-year-old is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Carrow Road, and Fulham are set to put in an offer of £10million to try and tempt the Championship side into selling one of their prized assets.
