Mario Balotelli taunted Sergen Yalcin after scoring in Adana Demirspor’s 3-3 draw Besiktas on Tuesday night.
The forward made a reference to a comment which Yalcin made back in 2013 after watching Balotelli play for Manchester City in a pre-season match against LA Galaxy.
The manager – who was working as a pundit at the time – said Balotelli had ‘no brain’ after he infamously tried to backheel a easy shot on goal and missed.

Yalcin also said that he would have ‘fired’ the forward if he was in ‘manager Roberto Mancini’s shoes’ at the time.
Yalcin’s comment obviously cut deep with Balotelli – who took the opportunity to get his revenge after scoring a 79th-minute goal to help his side secure a point against Besiktas.
Balotelli’s celebration saw him run toward Yalcin and point at his head to reference the manager’s previous comment about him having ‘no brain’.

Balotelli – who was clearly proud of his celebration – posted a video clip of the incident on Instagram.
He also shared wrote the following comment on his Instagram story: ‘We have brain and especially we have balls and heart. Very big heart and we are proud of it.’
However, Adana Demirspor’s president Murat Sancak was less impressed and said that both parties were in the wrong for their behaviour.
‘I wish it didn’t happen,’ Sancak said. ‘Both Sergen Yalcin’s comments at first and then what Balotelli did were not right.’
Yalcin also shared his thoughts on Balotelli’s gesture by saying the forward only did performed the celebration as he was disappointed he didn’t join Besiktas last year.
‘It is the first time that I’ve seen a player doing such a thing to a manager,’ Yalcin said. ‘I could not understand why he did that, maybe the reason is that he did not join Besiktas last year. That shows his personality.’
Nevertheless, fans found the whole situation comical and took to social media to comment on the gesture.
