Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes absolutely loved Paul Pogba winner against Fulham
Man Utd: Solskjaer hails Fernandes amid form struggles
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes loved Paul Pogba’s winning goal against Fulham on Wednesday night. The France international secured all three points for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with a powerful effort from distance at Craven Cottage. And it means the Red Devils now sit top of the Premier League table, two points clear of Manchester City.
After seeing City beat Aston Villa earlier on in the day, United knew they needed to beat Fulham to boost their chances of title glory.
Things got off to a rocky start, however, when Ademola Lookman fired the Cottagers in front.
Edinson Cavani then levelled for United, with the Uruguay international finding the net for the fifth time this season.
And, in the 65th minute, Pogba struck the winner.
The France international’s powerful strike swerved beyond the reach of Alphonse Areola in goal, giving his side all three points in the process.

And, on social media after the game, Fernandes showed his joy.
The Portugal international uploaded a picture of players celebrating with Pogba, accompanying it with the caption ‘POGBOOOOOM’.
And it appears the United midfielder, who has struggled for consistency ever since his return from Juventus back in the summer transfer window of 2016, is getting back to his best.
He’s now scored three crucial goals for the Red Devils away from home, with his strike against Fulham coming after previous goals against Burnley and West Ham.
And Rio Ferdinand hailed the midfielder after the match, saying: “Today he [Pogba] put in a fantastic performance.

“The big difference recently is he’s been playing quicker. He’s quick with what he’s doing, the efficiency is top, top drawer.
“He is a magnificent footballer and when he’s in this form, he’s one of the best.”
Solskjaer also gushed over Pogba in the aftermath of the result in west London, saying: “I think we started slow but after their goal I felt we played well. We needed to wake up and after that we played really well.
“We don’t do offsides really, we should follow the run. We had not woken up but good reaction.
“Fantastic goal by Paul and we had some other chances to finish the game but of course when it is just one goal and the players they put on it is going to be like heart in your mouth.
“He [Paul Pogba] has really come on. He is fit, he can play in midfield and he can play wide.
“That is key with Paul, getting him match fit and running fit and he is at the moment. He played very well.”
And Pogba himself said: “I hit it well.
“I didn’t expect my left foot to be like this. You know, if you don’t try you don’t know what’s going to happen.
“I’m really glad the ball went in. It was a beautiful goal and a beautiful victory. That’s the most important.”
United are next in action against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday (5.30pm).
The Red Devils will be looking to win the competition for the first time since 2016, back when Louis van Gaal ruled the roost.
