Manchester United star Amad Diallo makes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vow
Man Utd: Diallo posts Atalanta tribute after sealing move
Manchester United star Amad Diallo has vowed to listen to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer throughout his time at Old Trafford. The Ivory Coast international moved from Atalanta earlier in the January transfer window. And the Red Devils are hopeful he can be a huge hit at the Theatre of Dreams.
United spent the whole of the summer transfer window chasing Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
But, after missing out on the England international, the Red Devils then changed tact.
United agreed a £37million fee to sign Diallo from Atalanta back in the summer, making him the most-expensive teenager in the club’s history.
And, earlier in January, the 18-year-old officially completed his move to the club.
Diallo has now spoken out after joining United, admitting he’s eager to learn from Solskjaer and the other coaches at the club.
“I’m only young, only 18, so there is still a long way ahead for me,” he told the club’s official website.

“I want to learn and progress and I will be listening to the more experienced players here and the coach, and I’ll do my best and work hard to succeed.”
Diallo has admitted he’s excited, too, adding: “To be honest I cannot wait, I’m so excited at the prospect of working with these fantastic people at such a great club.
“This adventure is about to start and I’m really, really excited and over the moon.”
Diallo revealed how his family played a key role in his move to United, saying they were ‘proud’.
“Yes absolutely,” he said when asked if they were happy over his move to the club.
“My family has always been there for me and supported me along the way. As soon as the opportunity came for me to join United they obviously gave me great support.

Meanwhile, Diallo’s old coach Giovani Cerlini believes the player must work on his heading and physique if he’s to shine in English football.
“Physically, Amad wasn’t the strongest at Boca Barco, and his heading abilities aren’t good,” Cerlini told BBC Sport.
“He must add a few kilograms of weight in order to survive in the Premier League.”
Cerlini also opened up on how Diallo joined Boca Barco, adding: “We didn’t discover Amad, but rather he just came to us. It was a great stroke of luck.
“From the very first moment, it was evident the kid was special. He was very bold and quick, possessed great technique and a strong shot, and executed everything at great speed.
“Amad was popular in the dressing room. He made a lot of friends, learned Italian and seemed to be a very determined guy who knew exactly what he wanted.”
Giovanni Galli also spoke to the BBC, revealing how he noticed Diallo and his brother Hamed Junior Traore – who plays for Sassuolo in Italy.
“A friend asked me to take a look at two guys – Amad and his older brother Hamed Junior Traore, who plays for Sassuolo nowadays,” he said.
“I worked at Lucchese in the third division at the time, and invited them for a trial with our youngsters.
“I quickly saw they were simply too good for us. Amad played with bigger boys and drove them insane with his dribbling.
“Therefore, I made a few calls to Serie A clubs in order to tell them about the guys. At Atalanta, I spoke to the sporting director Gabriele Zamagna, and they duly signed Amad.”
