Manchester United 's Andreas Pereira 'closes in on loan to Flamengo'
Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira ‘closes in on loan move to Brazilian side Flamengo’ as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to balance the books after big-money purchases of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane
- A loan move would be Andreas Pereira’s fourth in the last five years
- The division of wages and the option to buy are currently being negotiated
- Both Man United and Flamengo have ‘great optimism’ towards the negotiations
- United need to recoup funds after spending £115m in summer spree
Andreas Pereira is reportedly set to leave Old Trafford once again as Manchester United prepare to loan the midfielder out to Brazilian side Flamengo.
The move comes as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to balance the books after spending a total of £115million to bring Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to Old Trafford.
United have signalled they are open to the player leaving this summer but the conditions of the loan are still being negotiated between the two clubs, according to Globo.

Both clubs are treating the negotiations with ‘great optimism’ however, with the just the matters of the division of wages and the option-to-buy price at the end of the season left to be stipulated.
The 25-year-old is currently pocketing £30,000 per week and the division of wages with Flamengo would ease the financial pressure on United, who need players to leave to ease their net spend.
Pereira spent last season on loan at Lazio, making 33 appearances in all competitions but only five came from the start.
This will be Pereira’s fourth spell away from Manchester in the last five years having also completed loans at Granada and Valencia as the Brazilian struggles to establish himself as a regular starter at his parent club.
Despite being involved in United’s pre-season plans, finding the net during their 2-2- draw with Brentford, Pereira’s chances for first-team football once again look slim.

He was an unused substitute for the Red Devils’ 5-1 win in their Premier League opener against Leeds on Saturday and was left out of the behind-closed-doors friendly against Burnley on Tuesday.
Pereira, who is of Brazilian descent, has already hinted to Solskjaer that he would be open to a move this summer.
‘I’m ready to play, I’m not a boy anymore. I’m a man ready to take responsibility,’ he told TNT Sports.
‘I’m sure that with playing time and continuity as a starter in my position, I can show what I’ve done on base, I can score more goals and give assists.’

‘A player of my position needs the confidence to play and the freedom to be bold on the field.
‘In Manchester or elsewhere, the time has come to play, to have at least an hour per game on the field, to have the confidence to play.
‘I want to be happy, to feel important.’
Flamengo are looking to confirm the loan swiftly in order to register Pereira in time for the Copa do Brasil, meaning the deal has to be signed, sealed and delivered by next Tuesday.
Pereira would be the second reinforcement arriving from the Premier League in this window for the Brazilian side after agreeing a loan deal for Chelsea outcast Kenedy.
