Manchester United reportedly have two concerns about Rennes teenager Eduardo Camavinga. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in the 18-year-old as he looks to add to the transfers of Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton. But any deal won’t be straightforward, especially with Chelsea in the picture.
It’s been a good start to the summer transfer window for United.
They agreed a deal for Sancho with speed, obliging to give Borussia Dortmund a fee of £73million over five instalments.
And they also brought Heaton back to the club following the goalkeeper’s release from Aston Villa, with the veteran poised to challenge David De Gea and Dean Henderson for a starting berth.
Now, United are looking to bring Camavinga to Old Trafford.
The Rennes star has just a year left on his current contract, meaning he must be sold by September in order for the Ligue 1 side to acquire a good fee.
But while United are pressing ahead with plans to recruit the 18-year-old, the Manchester Evening News say they have two concerns about the teenager.

The first is that he’s considered to be quite ‘callow’.
As a youngster, Camavinga obviously has plenty of learning to do – and that’s something Solskjaer and his side are fully aware of.
While United like to sign young players to mould into superstars, their desire to win the Premier League title means they’d need him to mature almost right from the very off.
And a second concern is said to be over his lack of Premier League experience.
Camavinga’s short career has been spent entirely in France so far, with Ligue 1 certainly contrasting compared to the English top flight.

Yet while there are concerns, it’s still stated that United want to sign the midfielder – even if they’re also admirers of West Ham and England star Declan Rice.
Rice has rejected the offer of a new contract at West Ham, with his current deal due to expire in 2024.
But, just like with Camavinga, United face competition from Chelsea when it comes to securing the signature of the 22-year-old.
Chelsea are in the hunt for the Rennes star, too, and history suggests they could be set to gazump the Red Devils for yet another target.
The Blues have previously beaten United to the signings of Eden Hazard, Pedro and Cesc Fabregas in recent years.
And where Camavinga ultimately ends up, with his current club poised to sell, remains to be seen.
Speaking in June, meanwhile, the France international admitted he was yet to decide over his future – though did talk up La Liga pair Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“My future? I’ve not yet thought it over with my family,” he said.
“I am first concentrating on Rennes. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich interest is something nice, I can’t lie.
“It’s nice that big clubs have interest, but I’m not focused on that.”
Camavinga’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, recently namedropped the France international when talking about the players at his agency who could leave.
“It is going to be harder. I’m expecting three or four very big deals of my own that will break a lot of records,” Barnett told the Athletic.
“Hopefully, they’ll come about. For the smaller clubs, I think there won’t be as many transfers. We have some very good players.
“We have probably the best young player in the world in Camavinga.
“We’ve got [Jack] Grealish. We’ve got [Ibrahima] Konate at Leipzig. But then I’ve got over 100 players.”
