Manchester City starlet Tommy Doyle, the grandson of Blues legends Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe, completes deadline day loan move to German side Hamburg

Manchester City starlet Tommy Doyle has joined German side Hamburg on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old midfielder made his first team debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup in October 2019.

Doyle, the grandson of City legends Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe, has since gone on to make seven first-team appearances.

‘Tommy is a very interesting box-to-box player that we’ve been watching intensely for a long time,’ said Hamburg sports director Michael Mutzel.

‘Despite his young age, he is a player who leads the way on the pitch.’

The academy graduate captained the Blues to 2020 FA Youth Cup triumph and a maiden Premier League 2 title success in 2021.

HSV have endured a disappointing start to the Bundesliga 2 campaign, taking six points from their opening five games to sit 10th in the table.
