Man Utd’s Sancho will have three people’s backing after Fernandes clip
Manchester United star Jadon Sancho will have the backing of three pundits after he snapped back at Bruno Fernandes. The winger told his team-mate to “stop moaning” during the win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
United ran out 1-0 winners at Old Trafford, with Fernandes grabbing the only goal of the game in the 39th minute. But the Portugal superstar was not happy for the whole game.
Fernandes has often been criticised for gesticulating to his team-mates when annoyed. And this time Sancho was not prepared to let him get away with it.
With the score at 0-0 against Villa, TV cameras picked up Sancho appearing to say: “Bruno, stop moaning, stop moaning.” He pointed at his team-mate while giving his verdict on what Fernandes had either said or done.
Fernandes skippered United and has done so for much of the season while Harry Maguire has been out of the team. But that has not excused his behaviour with some pundits, who would likely back Sancho for his reaction.

Ten Hag praises Fernandes' response to Liverpool criticism
Following the 7-0 drubbing to Liverpool in March, Gary Neville hit out at Fernandes. He said on Sky Sports: “I’m going to start with Bruno Fernandes.
“I’ve had enough of him throwing his arms around at his team-mates; I’ve had enough of him not running back; he whinges at everybody. He got pushed in the chest and went down holding his face.
“He’s got to put a captain’s performance in out there and that wasn’t a captain’s performance by a Manchester United player.”
Arsenal legend Ian Wright also hit out at the 28-year-old for how he acted during the match at Anfield. He said on Premier League Productions: “Sometimes you go to Anfield and you think you are going to get stuff and don’t get it.
“Look at his reaction now: he’s having a word with Alisson and arguing with him. Look at where he is and look where the ball is.

“I’m thinking ‘get yourself back in, over here [so he can defend].’ Instead he’s coming over here to speak to Rashford and have some sort of whinge.
“This is the captain. This is the guy who is meant to be leading by example. You look how he’s acting… I was really, really surprised.”
A more recent occasion saw Danny Murphy criticise Fernandes. He was taken off during the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton last month and Murphy was not impressed with his reaction.
The former Liverpool midfielder said: “Two or three times he hasn’t tracked back. He’s sat on his bum watching other people track back for him while he’s whinging, so it’s probably the right decision.
“He’s been terrific for a lot of the game, Bruno Fernandes, but nobody’s got a God-given right to stay on the pitch when you’re not doing your defending and you’re not doing it well.”
