Man Utd’s ‘intense battle’ for Tchouameni and Moyes’ Lingard update
Manchester United have tried and failed to fill the void left by Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick in centre midfield since the trio retired.
A number of players have come and gone but none can really say they left a lasting, positive impression at Old Trafford.
Though the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred have their moments in this current United team, speculation continues to mount that interim manager Ralf Rangnick will want at least one more player to help bring some stability in the middle of the park.
With Paul Pogba yet to extend his deal which expires in the summer and Donny van de Beek yet to justify his 2020 summer transfer from Ajax, players across Europe continue to be linked with a switch to Manchester.
From Wolves' Ruben Neves to the talented Aurelien Tchouameni, Daily Star Sport has taken a look at the latest Manchester United transfer news below.
Intense Tchouameni battle
Having witnessed what AS Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni did alongside Paul Pogba in the Nations League final, a potential move to Old Trafford made a lot of sense.
The Athletic have now claimed that United will be competing for his signature alongside Premier League rivals Liverpool.
His age and player profile makes him the perfect signing for the Red Devils and the report adds that there will be an ‘intense battle’ to secure his services over the summer.
Should Pogba put pen to paper in Manchester, Tchouameni will be the perfect player to finally unlock his talents.

Moyes' Lingard update
Many were shocked that Jesse Lingard opted to return to United in the summer after a successful loan stint with West Ham United.
Lingard's goals and assists not only helped propel the Hammers into Europe but he nearly made Gareth Southgate's Euro 2020 squad.
With game time at Old Trafford limited, Lingard is once again in search of first-team football and West Ham boss David Moyes has spoken about the club's interest in the 29-year-old.
"I will not talk about players at other clubs, Jesse is a Manchester United player so it is not for me to talk about him., He did a really good job last year and we appreciated him, we are thankful for what he did," Moyes said via football.london.

Starts with Endrick
Identifying and securing world football's brightest talents has always been a strength of United's and their pursuit of 15-year-old Brazilian Endrick is not surprising.
Having scored twice in his Copa Sao Paulo debut, a prestigious under-20 tournament, United have wasted no time in making an enquiry with his club Palmeiras.
No offer has been made just yet but according to Yahoo journalist Jorge Nicola, the club have contacted the player's staff to highlight their interest in the striker.
