Man Utd ‘willing to accept’ £15m loss on Donny van de Beek as Inter Milan circle
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly willing to accept a £15million loss on Donny van de Beek by allowing the Dutch flop to leave this summer.
Van de Beek joined United for £35million from Ajax amid great fanfare less than 12 months ago but has been unable to replicate the same form for the Red Devils which earned him a move to Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been left frustrated after spending large swathes of last season on the bench, making just 19 Premier League appearances in total, with only three of those coming as starts.
Those numbers make sorry reading for Van de Beek, who was expected to provide fierce competition for Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in United’s midfield.
Instead, the Dutchman has been forced to watch on from the subs bench, leading to speculation that he could depart Old Trafford this summer.
Italian website Calcomercato reports Solskjaer is willing to let the player leave under the right conditions – and Inter Milan at the front of the queue.
Manchester has become Inter’s shopping destination of choice in recent seasons, with Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young all joining the San Siro club.

It is claimed that United are willing to accept a fee in the region of £25million for the former Ajax star, although Inter are thought to be keen on a loan deal to begin with.
Van de Beek’s nightmare season went from bad to worse last month after he was forced to withdraw from Netherlands’ squad for the European Championships due to injury.
Speaking at the time of his withdrawal, he said: “As you may have already learned, I unfortunately had to leave the team due to a groin injury.
“A big disappointment, especially because it would be my first European Championship and unfortunately I can't be there now.
“I want to thank you for all the sweet messages I have received, it means a lot to me. I want to wish the players, the staff, and last but not least the fans a great European Championship.”
