Manchester United have been warned that transfer target Declan Rice won't be going anywhere if West Ham keep up their stunning run of form in the Europa League.

Hammers hero Rice has been on United's transfer radar for some time as midfield continues to be a problem area for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Rice has continued to excel for West Ham, putting in another sterling display as the Hammers continued their fine start to life in the Europa League.

He netted the opening goal in their 2-0 win over Rapid Vienna on Thursday night at the London Stadium.

The England midfielder now has two goals in as many games in Europe after he struck in the 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb a fortnight ago.

And his recent hot streak in front of goal has led talkSPORT pundit Darren Bent to warn United that the midfielder "won't go anywhere" if the Hammers continue their storming start to life in Europe.

“If they win the Europa League this year and they are in the Champions League next year, he won’t go anywhere," Bent said on talkSPORT.

“What’s his reason for going then? He’s playing in the best competition in the world then.

“I think for the first season, once he has a taste of it, West Ham get into the Champions League and he does particularly well…

“I think people will come and get him, regardless of what happens, but that is his club – West Ham.

“He’s the captain – I know Mark Noble is the captain – but it’s him because he will play more.

“If they can somehow win the Europa League, they’re in the Champions League next season, he’s not going anywhere.”

Rice was a key performer for England during their run to the Euro 2020 final, and his future has been a hot topic ever since.

It's been reported that the Old Trafford hierarchy have been told they'll have to fork out £100million if they want to strike a deal for the 22-year-old.

The boyhood Hammers fan has stalled over signing a new contract with the club, but he's insisted he remains committed to the club.

"We've spoken about it lots in the past," Rice said. "Everyone knows how I feel about West Ham and how I feel about playing under the manager and what it's like playing with the group of players I'm playing with.

"I feel you can see in my performances nothing's up, nothing's concerning me. I'm playing with a smile on my face, I'm going out there, I'm leading the team.

"You can see how happy I am on the pitch, I love playing for this team and this manager. Honestly, it's such a great place to be around at the moment. With the results and how well we're doing, it makes it that bit more special."
