Man Utd urged to sign Jude Bellingham and send fierce message

Man Utd's next six Premier League fixtures

Manchester United legend Gary Pallister says Jude Bellingham already holds the key to next season’s Premier League title. The race for the signature of the planet’s hottest midfield talent has started in earnest with claims Liverpool have lodged a £100million offer to Borussia Dortmund.

But Pallister insisted that United must also be in the fight for the England star if they want to lift a first top flight trophy after 10 years off the pace.

“Jude Bellingham is the one that everybody’s looking at, obviously, and wherever he goes, it will give the club that he arrives at a huge shot in the arm because everybody wants him,” said Pallister.

“He’s English. Technically, he’s excellent. He’s got a great drive to him by the looks of it. And I think every club’s sort of letting it be known that they’d love to him to have him at their club.”

Europe’s biggest clubs are all monitoring Bellingham’s situation including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

And while Liverpool have been the first to break cover, United’s interest has been just as long standing with the club trying before in 2020 to bring him to Old Trafford from Birmingham.

Pallister, speaking to aceodds.com, insists that the addition of the young midfielder to Erik ten Hag’s squad could be the tipping point to turn United from hopefuls to genuine contenders.

“I think they’ve taken great strides this year because of the fact that we’ve had Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in there,” said the former defender, a winner of four Premier League titles with United.

“I think the two lads in midfield have brought a different dimension to Manchester United, which we possibly have not had for a few years. So that’s ticked the box in there.

“If you add Bellingham to that as well, then wow. If they get one of their two centre-forward targets as well, then I think that sends out a big message to the rest of the Premier League that Manchester United can compete again with the very best.”
