Man Utd transfer target Christopher Nkunku produces outrageous piece of skill

Christopher Nkunku has produced an outrageous piece of skill on Wednesday night, after Manchester United reportedly added him to their list of potential targets for the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman has starred for RB Leipzig this season, scoring an astonishing 25 goals and notching 13 assists despite what has been a disappointing campaign for the Bundesliga side.

He continued his remarkable form on Wednesday night when he started alongside Anre Silva up-front for Leipzig in their DFB-Pokal quarter-final clash against Hannover.

Nkunku starred in the 4-0 hammering, scoring twice to book Leipzig’s place in the semi-finals, as they search for their first ever German cup win.

First, he held off a Hannover defender to squeeze the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box 17 minutes in.

He then produced a classy finish, taking a touch around the keeper before cutting back from the byline to double his side’s lead.

Konrad Laimer and Silva added goals of their own in the second-half to secure Leipzig’s place in the final four.

But it was a brilliant piece of skill from Nkunku that really caught the eye, as United step up their pursuit of him.

The 24-year-old controlled the ball in the air with his left foot, before doing four keepy-uppies with his right foot while jogging backwards and passing it onto a team-mate.

Nkunku’s incredible skill can only help to firm up United’s interest in him, with ESPN reporting that the Red Devils have put him on their list of summer targets.

Ralf Rangnick ’s arrival has prompted a rise in interest from United, with scouting of the French star stepping up.

But his contract still has more than two years left to run, with Leipzig’s global head of football insisting in February that the Bundesliga side will do everything they can to keep him.

“He [Nkunku] will also play with us next season because of course he is a very important player. In football nothing is ever certain, but that's our plan,” Oliver Mintzlaff told Sky Deutschland.

“We don't have many players who can leave us in the summer. We want to strengthen the team rather than weaken it.”
