Man Utd transfer shortlist: Four players Ed Woodward could sign for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Man Utd: Pundit accuses Ed Woodward of lying about transfers
The potential arrival of Moises Caicedo aside, Manchester United aren’t expected to make any significant signings this month. However, despite that, the Red Devils still know they need reinforcements – and they stand a better chance of signing them in the summer. So Express Sport will now take a look at four players who could be moved for at the end of the campaign.
Jadon Sancho
Back in the summer, United fought hard to try and sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
But that didn’t happen in the end, with the Bundesliga giants’ huge £108million transfer fee demands preventing a deal from taking place.
Sancho has since toiled for Dortmund, failing to score a single goal in the German top flight this season.
But United retain an interest, despite his struggles.
So with Mason Greenwood misfiring this term, it’s certainly feasible United will go back in for the 20-year-old at a later date.

Erling Haaland
United do like Sancho.
But Solskjaer himself prefers the prospect of signing Erling Haaland, who has found the net nine times from ten Bundesliga matches this term.
The Norway international rejected a move to the Red Devils in January 2020 but bridges haven’t been burned between the two parties.
Therefore, with Anthony Martial struggling, United could make a blockbuster bid at the end of the campaign.
And the prospect of seeing Haaland playing in the same side as Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes would certainly excite.

Ben White
United have cooled their interest in signing RB Leipzig powerhouse Dayot Upamecano after he was terrorised by Rashford in a Champions League match earlier on in the season.
But Ben White is now on their radar.
The centre-back impressed for Leeds United in the Championship last term, helping them secure promotion to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.
And he’s since sparkled for Brighton, helping them sit just ahead of Fulham in the relegation zone.
White would fit the profile of player Solskjaer has signed so far so it’s possible that he could join in the summer. Especially if Brighton go down…
Max Aarons
United have seen Luke Shaw impress at left-back ever since Alex Telles’ move to Old Trafford.
So they now want to repeat that trick with Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The right-back is brilliant defensively but, when it comes to attacking, his performances often leave much to be desired.
So that’s why United may swoop for Max Aarons, who has helped Norwich City to the top of the Championship table.
He’s more of an offensive specialist and could be allowed to leave Carrow Road after being denied a loan move to Barcelona back in the summer.
