Man Utd transfer round-up as Red Devils weigh up deals for Ramos and Demir
Man Utd have started the new year with plenty of optimism after working themselves firmly into title contention.
And their cause has been helped by the arrival of highly-rated youngster Amad Diallo in a £37million deal.
With expectations heightening at Old Trafford, focus is also on their transfer activity and whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will add to his squad to push for honours in the back half of the season.
Last January Bruno Fernandes arrived in a deal which sparked United into life and ensured they finished the campaign strongly.
But will we see a repeat this time round?
Here are the latest transfer rumours from Old Trafford.
United mulling over Ramos deal
Red Devils chiefs are reportedly weighing up signing Real Madrid veteran Sergio Ramos on a two-year deal.
The 34-year-old defender is out of contract in the summer, so would not move to Old Trafford until then.
Ramos is stalling over signing a new deal, and according to Calcio Mercato, could move to either United or PSG, who are also interested in snapping him up on a free.
Demir on United's radar
Man Utd are reportedly in talks with Rapid Vienna regarding starlet Yusuf Demir with a view to signing the youngster.
The 17-year-old has been impressing in Austria, where he has scored four goals and provided two assist in 17 appearances so far this season.
Vienna are open to selling Demir, but only to a suitor willing to match their €10million valuation.
Defensa Central reports Real Madrid are also monitoring Demir, while Barcelona have pulled out of the running.
Sancho replacement identified
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly targeting Tanguy Coulibaly as a potential future signing IF Jadon Sancho leaves the club.
United tried in vain to land Sancho last summer but failed to meet Dortmund's £108million asking price.
The Red Devils are expected to return for Sancho this forthcoming summer, with Dortmund now keen to make contingency plans in the event he departs.
As reports France Football, Coulibaly, 19, is top of their wish list after impressing in the Bundesliga for Stuttgart.
