Man Utd transfer news LIVE as Hojlund chooses club and Erik ten Hag makes U-turn

Ben Foster sends warning to Andre Onana and says Man Utd made wrong David de Gea decision

Manchester United will look to make progress in their pursuit of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund this week as Erik ten Hag eyes his arrival before the season starts. And the Red Devils are also lining up outgoings to fund a move for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

It’s set to be a busy few weeks ahead at Old Trafford, with Ten Hag continuing to mould his squad for his second campaign at the helm.

Hojlund and Amrabat are United’s two priority targets after sealing deals for Mason Mount and Andre Onana.

Fred and Dean Henderson look primed to be the next two players to leave the club as Galatasaray and Nottingham Forest intensify talks.

Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek are also in the shop window, though, amid Premier League interest.

Ten Hag makes U-turn

Erik ten Hag has reportedly made a transfer U-turn that’s unlikely to be popular in sections of the Manchester United fanbase.

Reports in May claimed Ten Hag wanted to offload injury-stricken Anthony Martial this summer to make way for a new No 9.

However, according to ESPN, the Dutchman is now willing to keep Martial as an experienced option.

Many had hoped he would be used to raise funds for further incomings.

However, United look to have the budget to complete the signing of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund without selling Martial.

Hojlund chooses club

Rasmus Hojlund wants to join Manchester United this summer, despite interest from PSG, according to reports.

L’Equipe claim PSG made a £43million bid to sign the Atalanta striker.

However, he remains firmly focused on completing a switch to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.

United have also bid a base fee of £43m plus £8m in add-ons.
