Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a selection dilemma ahead of his team’s outing against Aston Villa on Saturday.

With much of his attacking contingent playing well of recent, there is a debate to be had over who deserves a starting spot.

The 1-0 loss to West Ham in midweek gave him much to ponder about over who could force their way into the side after a lacklustre performance.

Express Sport takes a look at their expected XI against Aston Villa.

Goalkeeper: De Gea

David de Gea has been a key influence in United’s top spell of form this season as they sit joint-top of the table.

The Spaniard has been an ever-present in the Premier League this season, conceding four in five games, but never more than once in a game.

And despite Dean Henderson being involved in the 1-0 loss to West Ham on Wednesday night, De Gea is expected to be reinstated for the visit of Villa.

Defence: Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Varane, Shaw

United’s typically sturdy defence will hope to continue denying the opposition chances on Saturday.

Wan-Bissaka and Shaw are likely to take the wide berths as the pair continue their stellar early-season form.

And Varane will line up alongside Maguire as United look to make it four wins from four in the Premier League.

Midfield: McTominay, Pogba

Fred’s poor form continued in the last-gasp win at West Ham, leaving fans in doubt about his talents.

Scott McTominay does a good job of shielding the defence, so he is likely to start in the central position.

And with attackers galore at Old Trafford, Paul Pogba could line up alongside him in central midfield.

Attack: Greenwood, Fernandes, Lingard; Ronaldo,

Bruno Fernandes will look to exert his influence in the No 10 role once more while compatriot Ronaldo is an obvious inclusion after four goals in his first three games back.

Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial started on Wednesday but their presence counted for nought.

And with Greenwood and Lingard providing the goods of late, they could form the front three with Marcus Rashford still out.
