Man Utd stars ‘expecting’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sack after Watford humiliation
Manchester United stars are 'expecting' Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked by the board following their latest Premier League humiliation at the hands of Watford.
Pressure was eased by the Norwegian at the end of October with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Tottenham, but their poor form has continued with back-to-back defeats.
Solskjaer said after their 4-1 defeat to Claudio Ranieri's Watford that he still had the desire to turn things around at Old Trafford, with Bruno Fernandes putting blame on the players.
With the United board taking part in a virtual meeting to discuss the future of their head coach on Saturday evening, the players had a good idea of what the outcome would be.
Manchester Evening News report that players are expecting Solskjaer to be sacked.
Earlier this month, Daily Star Sport reported that United were growing increasingly confident of being able to make Brendan Rodgers as their next manager.
Following defeat at Vicarage Road, Solskjaer apologies to the traveling support before insisting that poor form is a part of football.
"It's a definite big, big challenge for everyone at the club," Solskjaer told Sky Sports

"The results are not good enough, we know that. Of course something is wrong. I feel for the fans. I feel the same as the fans. We are in a very bad run and bad situation. But that is part of football."
Adding when asked about his future: "I am working for and with the club. Of course we have a good communication and if the club are thinking of doing something that is a conversation between us."
And concluding when asked how low he is feeling: "Very."
David de Gea was particularly critical of the performance, using the word embarrassing.
He said: "It's not acceptable – the way we were playing and doing things. It's easy to blame the manager or the staff but sometimes it's the players. We need to show much more than we are doing.
"Embarrassing first half – we could've conceded four goals in 45 minutes. It was hard to watch the team playing today – it was nightmare after nightmare. It's not acceptable."
