Man Utd ‘set their price for Onana transfer deal’ with De Gea facing exit
Andre Onana linked with Man Utd and Chelsea move
Manchester United aren’t currently willing to pay more than £25million for Andre Onana, according to reports in Italy. The Cameroon international is in Erik ten Hag’s sights as he looks to land a new goalkeeper this summer. David De Gea could leave the club, while Dean Henderson is widely expected to seal a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United had been confident of keeping hold of De Gea, who has been at the club ever since arriving from Atletico Madrid back in the summer transfer window of 2011.
But the Spain international is yet to sign a new deal and may therefore leave this summer.
With De Gea facing an exit, United now seem to be on the lookout for a new No 1 who suits Ten Hag’s style of play.
And La Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Red Devils are eyeing Onana, who flourished for Inter Milan last season.
However, it’s said they are not presently willing to pay more than £25m in order to bring the 24-year-old to the club.

United are being frugal, amid suggestions they’re working with a budget between £100m and £150m this summer.
The report says Ten Hag has ‘asked for a new goalkeeper’, with Porto star Diogo Costa another option for the club.
Regarding Onana, Inter are reluctant to let the shot-stopper go.
Simone Inzaghi considers the Cameroon international to be a ‘key player’ for his side, while owner Steven Zhang doesn’t want to lose the goalkeeper ‘easily’.
Inter are, however, bracing themselves for a potential departure.

And they’re said to be looking at Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, with Guglielmo Vicario due to join Tottenham.
United boss Ten Hag previously worked with Onana at Ajax.
The pair won three league titles together prior to both departing 12 months ago.
And whether United sign Onana remains to be seen, especially due to their financial limitations at present.
A new goalkeeper isn’t the only signing Ten Hag is looking to make as he looks to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford.
Landing a new right-back hasn’t been ruled out, despite the club having Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as options.
United want a midfielder, with Mason Mount their preferred target.
And the Red Devils are pursuing a new striker, too, with Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Rasmus Hojlund all players of interest.
Meanwhile, speaking recently, Dimitar Berbatov expressed a belief that either Onana or Mike Maignan would be a good replacement for De Gea.
“If David de Gea was to leave this summer, then I’d like them to sign either Andre Onana or AC Milan’s Mike Maignan,” said the Bulgarian.
“These two goalkeepers are unbelievable and Onana impressed everybody who was watching the Champions League final in regards to his composure on the ball and his passing ability.
“They will have to see what his availability’s like and as he impressed me so much, I would hope that Manchester United enquire about him.”
Onana made 41 appearances for Inter last season, helping the Serie A make the Champions League final in the process.
