Manchester United would want around £10million to let Cristiano Ronaldo go in January but there’s still no guarantee he’ll get his wish, according to reports. The Portugal international wanted to leave back in the summer transfer window. And he’s struggled in the time since being denied his wish, netting just one goal across all competitions so far.
Manchester United decided to keep Ronaldo at the end of last season, having seen the veteran score 24 goals across all competitions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
But the 37-year-old has regressed in the short time since, netting just one so far this term.
Ronaldo still wants to leave United behind, especially with the former Juventus and Real Madrid star set to stay behind Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in Erik ten Hag’s pecking order.
And The Daily Star say Inter Miami are eyeing a deal for the Portugal international.
It’s stated that United’s price tag for Ronaldo ‘will be nearer to £10m’ if a suitable offer arrives, though there’s still no indication they’re willing to part ways.
Ten Hag has repeatedly talked up Ronaldo, insisting the United talisman still has much to offer to his team.

And David Beckham’s Inter Miami would only take the veteran on a free transfer, with the MLS outfit seemingly unwilling to stump up the asking price.
There’s room in their squad following the retirement of Gonzalo Higuain, who played alongside Ronaldo at both Juventus and Real Madrid earlier in their respective careers.
But United, for the time being, don’t appear to be willing to let their No 7 head for a new challenge elsewhere.
The final decision will reportedly rest with Ten Hag, who has started Ronaldo in matches against Brentford, Real Sociedad, Sheriff and Omonia so far this term.
If Ten Hag thinks Ronaldo’s sulking is impacting his dressing room, he may request the Glazers cut their biggest moneymaker loose.

Yet the Americans value the veteran and the cash he generates, so it’s also possible they’ll choose to keep the United star until the summer.
Ronaldo’s deal at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of the campaign, with no renewal currently in sight.
And he’s not a certainty to start for the Portugal when the World Cup commences in Qatar next month, either.
If United do end up losing Ronaldo at the end of the season, if expected, they’ll require a new centre-forward to fill the void left by any possible departure.
Napoli star Victor Osimhen has admirers at the club, though the Serie A giants would likely demand a premium fee to let the striker leave.

United are interested in Cody Gakpo, though latest murmurings have suggested he’s set to join Leeds instead.
And the Red Devils have been tipped to pursue Memphis Depay, despite previously offloading the Netherlands international back in the January transfer window of 2017.
Regarding Ronaldo, meanwhile, Tony Cascarino thinks United should let the attacker go – comparing him to Robert Lewandowski and Roy Keane in the process.
He said: “Personally I always feel with certain players that they’re so big at a football club that if you’re not going to play them just let them go elsewhere.
“I think you have to do that, Bayern Munich did it with [Robert] Lewandowski in the end, he wanted to go, and what did they do? They let him go to Barcelona.

“Roy Keane himself left Manchester United the moment he became a problem. If he wasn’t going to be used by [Sir Alex] Ferguson he was out the door and gone.”
And he added: “Why would you keep someone who is 37 years old, not as good as he once was, and not utilise him very often?
“He looks like he will play no part. I watched him midweek and he didn’t play particularly well.
“Just cut your ties. Free up wages. Ronaldo is on a lot of money and he wanted to leave.
“He won’t just be thinking about money. I just thought it was wrong to keep him.”
