Manchester United are finally ready to announce the transfer of Raphael Varane from Real Madrid on Thursday,
The Red Devils agreed a deal worth £37m with the Spanish side to bring the centre back to the Premier League.
But fans were left concerned that the Old Trafford side were dragging their heels getting the deal over the line, with news of the deal going quiet since confirmation last month.
The Sun , though, have reported that United have the pieces in place to make their big announcement on Thursday.
Varane was spotted arriving at Carrington on Tuesday, having taken a break after France’s Euro 2020 campaign.
And the report states that he has now completed medical checks as well as signing a deal at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman has also posed for cameras in his new kit, which will reveal his shirt number.
United’s season gets started with the arrival of historic rivals Leeds at Old Trafford, with fans hoping that Varane would partner Harry Maguire at the back.

But The Sun have suggested that fans are more likely to see him on the bench at the home ground.
The Madrid defender is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's third summer signing, with Jadon Sancho joining in a £77million move from Borussia Dortmund last month.
Goalkeeper Tom Heaton has also returned to the club on a free transfer after departing Aston Villa upon the expiry of his contract.

But former United midfielder Roy Keane believes old team-mate Solskjaer is still another one or two signings away from seriously challenging for the Premier League title.
He told ITV : “[Varane and Sancho] are two very good signings, particularly Varane with his experience and the problems at the back.
"Sancho, a young, talented player who did well in Germany.
“But I still think with what Manchester City have done and Chelsea [signing] Lukaku, United still need one or two into the group to really challenge this season.”
