Manchester United have reportedly decided how long Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to save his job. The Red Devils head coach has overseen a terrible period of form which was compounded by an incredible 5-0 thrashing by rivals Liverpool last weekend.
United were 4-0 down by half-time against the Reds, leaving thousands of fans streaming out of Old Trafford at the break.
It was the third defeat Solskjaer’s side have suffered in the Premier League already this season. There have been four defeats in all competitions.
United have won just two of their last seven fixtures, with both of those successes coming in the Champions League.
Those results have placed serious pressure on Solskjaer to improve his team’s form, especially after a huge £120million summer transfer outlay aimed at toppling their title rivals.

The Norwegian head coach, who has not won a trophy in his near-three years in charge, admitted that he needed to deliver success after the likes of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in the off-season.
And it appears that the Old Trafford hierarchy have delivered an ultimatum to the head coach. According to CaughtOffside, Solskjaer has three games to save his job.
All three fixtures are tough. United visit Tottenham on Saturday before travelling to Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Manchester derby against rivals Manchester City rounds off the trio of matches. A failure to improve performances and results could see Solskjaer lose his job after United host City on Saturday.

However, victories in all three could lift United back among the European places and on the brink of qualifying for the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
Despite the private ultimatum, Solskjaer has insisted that he remains in constant dialogue with the club’s board.
The 48-year-old, a United legend who scored 126 goals 365 games for the club, does not think his legacy will be affected by his side’s poor form.
“I’ve got open and direct communication with the club, with the board, and we’re very up front,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“Of course, I don’t expect them to come out and defend a performance like that.
“We’re in a poor run of form but my 18 years at the club are not going to be defined by these few weeks.
“I’ve had ups, I’ve had downs as a player, I’ve had ups and downs as a manager, as a coach in the reserves, setbacks. That’s what we do at the club.
“And for me, I’ve always made sure that I fight back and I’m not going to let a period like this define me.
“I’m going to go all in now for a result on Saturday and that’s the only thing we can do. We need a reaction, we need a result.”
