Man Utd overtake Arsenal as Premier League’s ‘most fined club’ after punishment
Manchester United have overtaken Arsenal as the most fined club in the Premier League.
The Red Devils were fined £65,000 by the FA for their contribution in the chaotic FA Cup clash against Fulham. While a storming few minutes saw Willian, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Cottagers’ boss Silva all receive red cards, United have been handed a slap on the wrist of their own.
In and amongst the controversy, United players were gathering around Premier League official Chris Kavanagh, while he was pondering on the decision. But after the FA disciplined Erik ten Hag’s side, United became the most fined club in the division.

"The club admitted that it failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and do not behave in a way which is improper. Manchester United FC's fine was imposed by an independent Regulatory Commission following a subsequent hearing."

Their hefty fine from the FA means they have now had to pay £202,000 to the authorities, compared to the Gunners’ tally of £185,000. Mikel Arteta ’s side are no strangers to a financial ticking off by the FA as they were fined £145,000 in the space of one week in February.
This included fines of £65,000 for ‘failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashions’ against Manchester City, one week after they were docked £60,000 for the same offence against Oxford United.
Meanwhile, United have received four fines this season, including a combined £82,000 for surrounding match officials in their matches against Newcastle and Chelsea.
