Man Utd negotiations for Andre Onana intensify as ‘club chief flies to England’
Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has reportedly flown to England to finalise negotiations with Manchester United for Andre Onana. The Cameroon international is top of Erik ten Hag’s goalkeeper short-list as the Dutchman eyes a reunion with his former Ajax shot-stopper at Old Trafford.
Yet so far, United are thought to be some distance away from meeting Inter’s valuation for the 27-year-old, whose stock has drastically sky-rocketed since his return to action following a lengthy ban.
Nonetheless, it appears the Red Devils are serious about landing the player as they seek to find a long-term replacement for David de Gea.
According to multiple reports in Italy, Inter chief Ausilio has flown to Manchester for face-to-face negotiations.
While Inter are reluctant to lose their goalkeeper, a sale could help them generate substantial funds to continue improving the team.
