Man Utd midfielder Tahith Chong set to leave after just five appearances
Manchester United youth star Tahith Chong has reportedly been linked with a move to Birmingham City in the Championship.
As per talkSPORT, United and the Midlands side are currently locked in discussions regarding the winger on a permanent deal.
The Blues have already signed Hannibal Mejbri on loan from United, and now the club are looking to bolster the midfield more with the arrival of Chong, who played for them last season on loan.

The 22-year-old was highly rated a few seasons ago but things have not progressed recently and he finds himself without game-time and in need of minutes, having featured in just five Premier League outings for the Red Devils.
It is thought that having regular football at Birmingham City could rejuvenate his career and help continue his development. Indeed, the Dutch winger spent half a season on loan at Birmingham City last year but managed to score just once in 20 appearances in all competitions.
Despite this, Blues boss John Eustace remains tight-lipped over the prospect of Chong returning. Chong was involved in United’s pre-season tour to Australia but not been included in Erik ten Hag’s opening Premier League games.
After presiding over Birmingham’s 2-1 loss to Norwich City, Eustace was quizzed about whether the player would be coming back to St Andrew’s. “We will see, that’s out of my hands. That’s got nothing to do with me,” he said to BirminghamLive. “If we do, great, whatever players we bring in to the club hopefully they will add quality.
“If he is a favourite here brilliant, let’s get him back, let’s get as many good players as we can at the club but they have got to be better than we have got.
“You see the efforts of the group, I am bringing anyone in just for sake of bringing someone in. They are all working hard, the togetherness is good and the reaction after Saturday was very pleasing.”
