Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is a wanted man in world football after years of producing excellent performances for Serie A side Lazio. And with Manchester United registering an interest in his services, a move for the Serbian could become reality with reports from Italy claiming the Red Devils are registering ‘concrete signals’.
United face heavy competition for his signature though with Italian giants Juventus supposedly courting the Serbian midfielder, with ex-Chelsea man Mateja Kezman acting as his agent.
Lazio have valued the star at £58.4milion (€70m), which has put the Turin-based outfit off signing him for the foreseeable future as it is beyond their financial reach.
However, United’s perceived interest has gained the attention of the Rome-based outfit.
According to Calciomercato, Ralf Rangnick’s men have given the most ‘concrete signals’ of any side in terms of signing the former Genk midfielder with United keen to bolster their options in the centre of the pitch.

And the report states that it is aware of an ‘informal agreement’ between owner Claudio Lotito and Kezman over a potential summer sale to United.
Milinkovic-Savic has been imperious for Lazio since his arrival in 2015, scoring 44 league goals and registering 37 assists in just 213 Serie A appearances.
His seven goals and seven assists at the halfway mark this season has alerted Europe’s biggest clubs to his dominating prowess.
But with two-and-a-half years left on his contract, Lazio aren’t in a position to sell the 26-year-old.

Despite this, the Spain-born midfielder has hinted that he would be open to leaving this year.
“The market? I read [the rumours], but it entered in one ear and went out of the other,” Milinkovic-Savic said.
“When there was something concrete, the club did not let me go, I stayed, I extended the contract and we opened a new cycle together.
“Now they are two years from the deadline. We will see what will happen in the summer, how the club will be structured and in which direction we will go.
“If there is something we will have to sit down and talk.”
A move could come with Paul Pogba’s contract having just six months left to run, given Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid’s interest.
But with United reportedly offering the French midfielder a contract worth £500,000-per-week, a move for Milinkovic-Savic could be put on hold should the former Juventus maestro sign a new deal.
