Manchester United are reportedly considering making an offer in the region of £106million to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt with talks already taking place on the Frenchman’s future. Wout Weghorst was signed on a temporary basis in the January transfer window to help fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
But the Dutchman is not expected to be signed on a permanent basis with United keen to look elsewhere for a striker. Erik ten Hag looks set to be heavily backed in the summer market to bring in a top goalscorer.
The likes of Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane and Marcus Thuram have all been linked with moves to Old Trafford recently. But the club may have settled on Kolo Muani as their top target, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
It’s claimed that United are ‘going to prepare a big offer’ for the France international with £106m touted as the figure being talked about. Frankfurt are said to be willing to accept those terms if United decide to pay up with the record fee.
The report adds that meetings are already taking place between Kolo Muani’s agent and club officials at Frankfurt over a possible move this summer. “Last week, there was a meeting with the new agents, Moussa Sissoko and the sporting director, Markus Krosche,” Falk said.
“They are getting offers and if there is a big offer, they have to consider it. At the moment, nothing has happened as the offer isn’t on the table yet.

“The agents are pushing because new agents can only make money if they make a new deal.”
Kolo Muani has been one of the standout players in the Bundesliga this season with 11 goals and 12 assists. He only joined Frankfurt from Nantes last summer on a free deal following the expiry of his contract.
The 24-year-old performances saw him named in France’s World Cup squad with the attacker scoring in the semi-final against Morocco. He also came off the bench and nearly scored the winning goal for France in the final against Argentina.
