Manchester United have been touted as Premier League title favourites by their former midfielder, Kleberson. The presence of formidable trio Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo will supposedly tip the scales in their favour, even with the likes of Chelsea looking extremely strong as the table gradually begins to take shape.
United were given a major boost on Sunday when Mark Noble’s missed stoppage-time penalty handed them a 2-1 victory at West Ham.
It was yet another three points rescued from a losing position, and could eventually prove to be a hugely important final few minutes come the end of the season.
Former Red Devils midfielder Kleberson, who was with the club between 2003 and 2005, believes his old side will be right in the mix to lift the trophy in May.
“Manchester United are favourites for the title just because of the signing of Ronaldo alongside existing players like Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes,” he told Paddy Power.

“Those guys a very powerful in an attacking sense. Cristiano Ronaldo can challenge for the Golden Boot this season.
“He’s never going to play football just for the money. He will push the squad to play better in training and in matches.
“It’s a great signing for Manchester United because he knows the club well, he knows a lot of the staff there and they know him.
“I cannot believe the team that Manchester United have now. It’s amazing! So many good players.”

On paper, the talented trio cited by Kleberson will be incredibly difficult to stop, although there are still a few creases which need to be ironed out to ensure their on-field success continues.
Fernandes and Ronaldo have not historically worked well together for the Portuguese national team, so they will have to work out how to get the best out of each other at Old Trafford.
Pogba, meanwhile, is set to be out of contract in 2022.
For one, the club will hope his ongoing negotiations are resolved quickly so as to not pose a distraction, but it could also mean they are only blessed with his talent for one more year.
Even so, there are plenty of recent positives to take for United fans, with Ronaldo in blistering form since making his second debut for the club.
His goal against West Ham was his fourth in three games as the 36-year-old’s ruthless scoring rate shows no sign of slowing down.
Without a doubt, United will need all the quality in that attacking trio to go all the way to Premier League glory this season.
Chelsea and Liverpool have made equally strong starts, but Kleberson is correct in stating that the Red Devils can compete with absolutely anyone in terms of talent. Now, it is time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to put that to good use.
