Man Utd hit with 19 positive Covid tests as club tries to stop further outbreak
The scale of Manchester United's Covid-19 outbreak has been revealed after Ralf Rangnick's sides clash with Brentford was postponed on Tuesday.
The Red Devils had been forced to shut down their Carrington training bade 24 hours before the Premier League fixture.
However, Carrington reopened on Wednesday as preparations continue for their Brighton clash, who are dealing with their own Covid outbreak.
According to The Telegraph, United currently have 19 players and staff self-isolating, but not all are first-team related.
This news comes after the Manchester Evening News reported that 17 first-team players were spotted arriving at Carrington on Wednesday morning.
United's game against Brentford was the latest in a series of Premier League fixtures that have been postponed.
Tottenham Hotspur were the first side Premier League in almost a year to cancel a game due to covid when their clash with Brighton was postponed over the weekend.
Burnley and Watford also saw their meeting called off on Wednesday evening a couple of hours before kick-off.
While Tottenham and Leicester have asked if their clash on Thursday can be postponed.

Manchester United's opponents, Brighton, are also facing their own crisis.
And Graham Potter confirmed Covid-19 is in the camp: We are around three or four and that's something we have to deal with.
"We are just checking to make sure it's at that number. We are trying to monitor and make sure we are not playing games with guys who have Covid."
