Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
The Frenchman joins fellow strikers Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry, both of whom were announced last month.
Cantona, who won four league titles in five seasons at United and scored 70 goals in 156 Premier League appearances for the club, couldn't hide his delight at the news.
"I am very happy and very proud, but at the same time I am not surprised," Cantona said in an exclusive interview with the Premier League . "I would've been surprised not to be elected!"
"I played football, I loved football, I dreamed about football as a kid," Cantona said. "Playing in England was a dream, it was a dream for everybody, playing for the Premier League.
"I have been lucky to play in this team, with wonderful players, a wonderful manager and wonderful fans.
"We won and we really enjoyed, and it was the football I dreamed about because Manchester United, it's a club where they want to win things but in a good way.
"It was like this in the time of Matt Busby, it's the identity and philosophy of this club."
Cantona is the first of six inductees chosen from a 23-man shortlist after a fans' vote.
The shortlist contains a whole host of famous names, including plenty of Cantona's former team-mates.
Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand, Andy Cole, Peter Schmeichel, Robin van Persie and Nemanja Vidic are all potential inductees.
Chelsea legends Didier Drogba, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole are also potential candidates, while Arsenal heroes Tony Adams, Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp, Ian Wright and Sol Campbell could also get the nod.
Les Ferdinand, Matt Le Tissier and the Liverpool trio of Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Robbie Flower complete the now-22-man shortlist following Cantona's confirmation.
