Manchester United hero Dimitar Berbatov claims that three Red Devils stars should seek a transfer exit during the January window. As we approach the month’s halfway mark, no permanent deals have been struck either inwards or outwards, although a number of United players are thought to be unhappy with their lack of game time.
Manager Ralf Rangnick admitted that numerous Red Devils stars are unhappy with their role under his leadership.
But the German also called on those stars to handle their disappointment professionally.
A number of fringe players have been heavily linked to moves elsewhere over the past few weeks, although no concrete business has been done as yet.
When it comes to three players in particular, Berbatov, who scored over 50 goals for the club, believes that they would be wise to push for a new challenge.

“I’m not surprised to see that Dean Henderson has handed in a transfer request, I was expecting it,” he told Betfair.
“Same for Donny Van de Beek and Anthony Martial. These players aren’t playing and it’s clear they aren’t happy and as long as they love what they do, playing football, they should move.
“Henderson was bought to play in his view, David De Gea was going through a difficult period.
“Signings can galvanise a player, you’re not at your best then all of a sudden you have competition, so, you gather yourself and start producing.

“That’s what happened with De Gea and it was bad news for Henderson. I fully understand why he wants to leave.”
When it comes to Martial, the Frenchman has struggled to stamp his authority on United as an attacking force this campaign, even with Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood struggling in recent weeks.
Sevilla reportedly came in with a loan offer for the 26-year-old, and despite Rangnick’s pledge to let the winger leave, the overall package was deemed insufficient to meet United’s needs.
Henderson and Van de Beek have also been linked to the Old Trafford exit door, although nothing appears close to completion as yet.
United have ground to make up in the race for fourth place this season, and Berbatov broadly seems unconvinced that his former side can achieve their goals given their current state of affairs.
“There are a lot of improvements needed still with Manchester Untied in my opinion,” he added.
“I’m still not convinced with Ralf Rangnick, he has never been in charge of a really big team like Untied, or Barcelona, Bayern Munich, the teams that are the biggest in world football.
“Even with all his accomplishments in football and the respect that Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel have for him, this is the biggest challenge for Rangnick, to know how to succeed at a big club and so far it’s not quite worked how people expected it to.”
