Man Utd have surprise dilemma solution in bad news for Jadon Sancho and Antony
Man Utd players' feelings towards Jadon Sancho after latest Erik ten Hag spat
Manchester United may have the answer to Erik ten Hag’s lack of right-wing depth, with Sofyan Amrabat’s arrival the unlikely catalyst. Jadon Sancho’s uncertain Old Trafford future and emerging allegations against Antony could open up a spot for another of United’s new recruits.
Antony has started all four of United’s games this season, but the Greater Manchester Police are investigating allegations of domestic abuse made by ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.
The 23-year-old has strongly denied all allegations against him, and he has yet to be charged with any offence.
But such background noise could impact his on-field performance, and United may take action if the case intensifies.
Meanwhile, Sancho’s United career is in limbo after lighting a public feud with manager Ten Hag after Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal.
Ten Hag confirmed he had excluded Sancho from his squad due to training performances before the 23-year-old swiped back with a social media statement, claiming he had been made a ‘scapegoat’.
The pair are expected to clear the air in private talks during the international break, but the outburst hasn’t done Sancho’s chances of becoming a regular starter any favours.

It has left Ten Hag with another dilemma amid a turbulent start to his second season in charge, but he may have a solution.
Amrabat was a welcome addition on transfer deadline day, and he’s set to bring balance to Ten Hag’s out-of-sorts midfield alongside Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.
But United have also just splashed £60million to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea, and the Dutchman will be keen to start him.
Mount has proven in the past that he can be an effective right-winger, so he could have a future in the position under Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old particularly caught the eye in Chelsea’s 7-0 win against Norwich City in 2021, scoring a hat-trick and registering an assist from the right.

Mount also created three chances and maintained a 90 per cent pass accuracy, thriving in a wider role after spending most of his career centrally.
With a striker of Rasmus Hojlund’s towering frame as the centrepiece of Ten Hag’s attack, having a left-winger in Marcus Rashford who can cut inside and a player like Mount who can act as a playmaker could prove a successful tactical switch.
Antony will likely remain Ten Hag’s first-choice right-winger for now, and his performances have by no means been some of the worst in the side.
But Mount is an exciting alternative if Ten Hag doesn’t trust Facundo Pellistri or Amad to step into the Brazilian’s boots regularly.
