Manchester United have reportedly drawn up plans to sign Kingsley Coman in the summer transfer window as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to improve his options out wide. United’s interest in Jadon Sancho last summer ended on a whimper as they refused to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £108million asking price.
It’s been suggested that United will try again at the end of the season to test Dortmund’s resolve, but they’re unlikely to be the only club interested.
Amad Diallo has since joined Solskjaer’s squad and is tipped for a bright future at Old Trafford.
But reports have claimed that his arrival doesn’t mean United are prepared to move on from signing another winger.
Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have been the main options out wide for United this campaign while Anthony Martial has also moved out to the wing on occasion.

Rashford’s place on the left looks solidified with the England international once again proving this season to be United’s main source of goals up front.
But there are still some question marks about Martial’s future while Greenwood is tipped to transition into a central forward in the coming years.
While Diallo could realise his potential and make an immediate impact at United, the Red Devils are still keen on bringing someone in with international pedigree.
And it appears as though United have set their sights on Bayern Munich star Coman.
DON’T MISS
According to Sport Bild, United have already put together a package to try and tempt the France international away from the Allianz Arena.
It is claimed that United are willing to offer Coman a bumper pay rise on his current £140,000-a-week deal with Bayern.
And contact is said to have already been made with Coman’s represenatives to sound out a potential move this summer.
The 24-year-old has shown his versatility under Hansi Flick to play on either the right or left wing, although he’s proven to be much more effective on the latter side.
Coman is aware of the interest in him from other top European clubs, but said last month that he is only thinking about staying with Bayern at this time.
“Knowing that good teams are interested in me is good, it gives me extra confidence,” he said.
“But I have a contract here until 2023, I only think about Bayern. It’s all good, I’m happy.”
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also ruled out Coman leaving the club anytime soon, stating the winger was “not for sale”.
“Kingsley is an absolute top player today, and is extremely valuable for Bayern,” he said.
“He often makes the difference, just when it counts the most. Kingsley is not for sale.”
