Man Utd ‘getting encouragement’ another player wants to join after Andre Onana
Andre Onana linked with Man Utd and Chelsea move
Manchester United are getting encouragement Rasmus Hojlund wants to join the club this summer, it has been claimed. The Red Devils are on the verge of making Andre Onana their second signing of the transfer window. Mason Mount has already joined, having swapped Chelsea for Old Trafford earlier this month.
Manchester United have finally made a breakthrough as they look to sign Onana from Inter Milan.
And GiveMeSport say the Red Devils are ‘getting encouragement’ that Hojlund wants to join the club as well.
The Atalanta hitman impressed for the Serie A side last month, scoring nine goals across all competitions.
The 20-year-old has drawn comparisons with Erling Haaland, who flourished as Manchester City won the treble last season.
Hojlund has previously admitted to being a ‘huge fan’ of United.

Speaking earlier in the year, he said: “Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Manchester United fan.
“So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me, but of course that doesn’t mean that I would turn down other big clubs if the offers come at some point.”
Atalanta, however, are being ‘stubborn’ with their valuation of their young forward.
The Serie A side would want a massive £85million in order to let Hojlund jump ship to Old Trafford this summer.
And only two players have joined United for bigger fees in previous years.

The Red Devils forked out a huge £89m in order to bring Paul Pogba back to the club in 2016.
And, just last summer, they paid Ajax a gargantuan £86m to secure the signature of Antony.
Hojlund isn’t the only striker United have under consideration, however.
They’re continuing to monitor Harry Kane, though Bayern Munich now seem to be the frontrunners in the race to sign the Tottenham star.
Randal Kolo Muani is also admired, having dazzled for Eintracht Frankfurt over the past two years.
And there’s been talk of United pursuing Goncalo Ramos, who scored 27 goals across all competitions for Benfica last term.
Meanwhile, a seasoned scout has warned the Red Devils about potentially signing Hojlund this summer.
“We looked at Hojlund some time ago when he was coming through the Danish international age groups and while he was at Copenhagen and Sturm Graz,” they told The Mirror.
“He was worth a punt but the money being asked now would represent a much greater risk” he says.
“He’s still unproven and the Premier League is a very unforgiving place especially if you’re in a Manchester United shirt.
“He’s left footed, strong and powerful so inevitably there will be some comparisons with Haaland but he’s not in his league. Haaland is a generational talent.
“Hojlund’s stats don’t come anywhere near Haaland and his finishing can be erratic.”
Another talent-spotted said: “He’s no Haaland. It’s strange too that he’s mentioned alongside Harry Kane as a possible United target – they are worlds apart.
“Hojlund can improve because he’s still young but any time you buy potential there’s always a danger, it’s a gamble.”
