Man Utd get Bruno Fernandes blessing for £85m Randal Kolo Muani deal
Man Utd fans protest outside Old Trafford
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes may have endorsed a potential transfer for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani as he made it clear that he is a huge fan of the £85million-rated forward. The Red Devils have been on the lookout for reinforcements up front since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last year.
Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund alongside Kolo Muani are said to be among the top targets for Erik ten Hag but United have been hampered by financial issues related to their ongoing takeover process and Financial Fair Play. Kane and Osimhen especially would likely cost over £100m, making it unlikely that United would move for either star with their reported modest budget of £120m.
United have held talks with Frankfurt regarding the potential signing of Kolo Muani, who shot to stardom with his displays for France at the World Cup, while Bayern Munich are also said to have an interest in the 24-year-old, according to reports. However, the German club’s current £85m valuation is proving to be an expensive stumbling block.
If they were to get the opinion of one of their leaders in Fernandes, however, they would likely be more inclined to step up their interest in Kolo Muani.

Speaking to Royaltiz, he named the Frenchman in his top three young talents and gushed over the forward: “Kolo Muani, I think he is doing really well. We saw it in the World Cup that he was good but I think now during the season, he’s been doing even better.
“I think he’s together with Rafa [Leao] one of the most promising [players] in the world right now. He probably has now the next step to a big club. He’s a player that I am quite happy to look at what is going to be in the future because I think he is a player that still has a lot to give to football.”

Kolo Muani, meanwhile, has failed to close the door on a move to English football despite also being linked back to his homeland with Paris Saint-Germain. ‘It’s not just because you come from the Parisian region and grow up there that you should automatically play for PSG,” Kolo Muani said earlier this month.
“Honestly, who doesn’t dream of playing in the Premier League? It’s one of the best leagues that exists. You dream about it. These are childhood dreams. But I’m not searching for the perfect club or the best club in the world.
“I’m really looking for the club that will give me the chance to be able to express myself, to earn gametime and most importantly allow me to grow.”
