Man Utd flop Memphis Depay scores one of the most ‘unsavable’ penalties ever
Former Manchester United flop Memphis Depay stunned viewers by scoring one of “the most unstoppable penalties ever" on Sunday.
Barcelona came from a goal down to scrape a 2-1 win against Elche, with their first being an instinctive close-range finish in the second-half by new signing Ferran Torres.
Depay, 28, was brought on as a substitute as Barcelona tried to make the pressure pay, and the Dutchman was awarded a penalty for a handball by an Elche defender with less than 10 minutes remaining.
And with the game on the line, the forward made no mistake from 12-yards as he nonchalantly thundered the ball into the net.
Depay took just a few steps in his run-up but generated obscene power with his strike.
He fired the ball with ferocity into the inside top-right-hand corner of the net so that even two goalkeepers wouldn’t have reached it.

Another tweeted: “Depay literally took an unsavable penalty…”
