Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek has reportedly joined Dean Henderson as the duo lay down a gauntlet to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. A sizable group of Red Devils stars are believed to be unhappy with the Norwegian over promises he made on playing time, with only a trusted inner circle seeing regular action this campaign.

By and large, the same figures have been entrusted by Solskjaer in recent weeks despite poor results against Leicester, Liverpool and Manchester City.

The latter defeat has been left to fester over the international break, prompting further speculation on the manager’s future.

Sitting nine points behind league leaders Chelsea, Solskjaer is believed to be facing pressure from every angle regarding whether he is the right man to take the club forward.

The dressing room is no exception, with a group of eight forgotten stars ‘angered’ by his reluctance to rotate the squad, according to ESPN.

Van de Beek and Henderson are among them, and both stars now appear adamant that they will get a move away in January.

In the goalkeeper’s case, 90min claim that the Red Devils proposed a long-term loan deal, although at 24-years-old he allegedly now favours a permanent exit.

The Englishman received a long run in the side towards the end of last season when he performed well, but the return to prominence of David De Gea has seen his recent chances limited.

When it comes to Van de Beek, United have previously stood in his way when it comes to a departure, as other clubs supposedly came sniffing around during the summer.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano via the Here We Go podcast, the Dutchman has now assured United that he will be packing his bags in January if nothing changes.

“Many clubs are interested from England, from Italy, from Spain too,” he claimed.

“Nothing has been decided, nothing is advanced with any club.

“It will be decided in the coming months, but if the situation continues like this, Van de Beek will 100 per cent leave Man Utd in January.

“This is why he changed his agent, this is why he wants to leave. He is super professional, but he wants to go because he wants to play.”

With Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly, Juan Mata and Alex Telles also reportedly unhappy, Solskjaer could soon be left short-staffed.

Whether Van de Beek seeks opportunities abroad after his underwhelming Premier League experience remains to be seen, while Henderson has supposedly perked the interest of Newcastle.

As the clock ticks towards January, others could soon join forces with the duo to demand an exit.
