Man Utd find Sancho escape route as three major discipline issues come to light

Borussia Dortmund could hand Manchester United an escape route from their ongoing spat with Jadon Sancho in the January transfer window, according to reports. Sancho’s explosive fallout with manager Erik ten Hag looks unlikely to reach a positive conclusion, making a winter departure almost certain.
The 23-year-old winger has been banished since publicly calling Ten Hag a liar after his exclusion in United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal almost one month ago.
He has been barred from all first-team activities, training alone in the academy centre at the club’s Carrington base.
Sancho’s problems with punctuality have reportedly continued during his absence from the first-team picture, painting a sorry picture regarding his future hopes.
A January exit looks increasingly likely the longer it takes for him to apologise to Ten Hag for challenging his authority on social media.
And a return to Dortmund could be on the cards just two years after leaving for Old Trafford in a £73million deal.
According to German outlet BILD, Dortmund have explored bringing Sancho back to the Westfalenstadion, with an initial loan move as one option being considered.

The Bundesliga giants have allegedly enquired about Sancho through intermediaries, and United are said to have quoted suitors £52m to buy their No 25 permanently.
But it is unclear whether Dortmund have much of a budget for such a significant mid-season swoop, and they initially planned to splash nothing on transfer fees before Sancho’s situation blew up.
And the club’s interest in a return comes as somewhat of a surprise, given BILD claim his behaviour issues were rife before he completed a move to United.
The report states that Sancho had three major problems that frustrated Dortmund figures while he emerged as one of Europe’s hottest young wingers.
Sancho was said to be regularly late to training sessions and flew away for a couple of games after matches.

But Dortmund chiefs also reportedly had damning qualms about Sancho’s lack of sleep due to staying up until the early hours of the morning playing his video game console.
Similar issues look to have plagued his United career, which is heading in a beeline toward a toxic conclusion as Ten Hag holds firm on his strict demand for an apology.
Sancho has been absent from the Dutchman’s squads against Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion, Bayern Munich and Burnley.
And he also won’t play in part in United’s Carabao Cup third-round clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
