Man Utd fans think Ronaldo was ‘mocking’ Solskjaer after Liverpool goal
Manchester United fans believe Cristiano Ronaldo mocked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tactics as Liverpool scored freely at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were thrashed in a 5-0 capitulation at the 'Theatre of Dreams' at the hands of their arch rivals.
Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick while Naby Keita and Diogo Jota also got in on the act as Jurgen Klopp's men ran riot with ease.
Solskjaer has come under intense pressure, as a result, and United chiefs are pondering whether to sack the Norweigan.
Five defeats in nine games and one clean sheet in 21 matches has left the club without a clear sign of where to go and the negativity around the club continues to grow.
One unhappy player was Ronaldo, who made his feelings clear after Salah scored another to wrap up a disastrous first 45 minutes.
As the Reds wheeled away in celebration, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner appeared to look towards his own team-mates in despondent fashion.
The 36-year-old then gesticulated wildly, pointing and waving his arms in a mocking fashion of a manager on the sidelines.
And fans were sure the Portugal international was making a point at Solskjaer, with one saying: "He just explains what happens in 1st 45 mins of the game."
Another wrote: "Ole has to understand 'Hulk Smash' is not a tactic. The players have to know how to transition between formation while defending."
This supporter said: "After this Ole went to sit in the fourth row next to the players."
A fourth quipped: "Lmao, Ronaldo is hilarious sometimes and I love him for that."
And another said: "Nice tactics Ole, Ronaldo revealing the tactics discussed by him."
As United chiefs ponder Solskjaer's future, there already appears to be a successor lined up in the shape of Antonio Conte.
The Italian is open to taking the job but wants to speak to the club over what their project will be.
Conte has already turned down the chance to manage in the Premier League when Tottenham tried to hire him to replace Jose Mourinho in the summer.
