Man Utd fans tell Erik ten Hag to "get rid" of Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford
Manchester United fans have urged Erik ten Hag to "get rid" of Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford as part of his summer rebuild.
Once he takes the reins at the end of the season, Ten Hag will immediately have a massive job on his hands in the transfer window as United attempt to correct the wrongs of recent months. There will be a significant amount of ins and outs at Old Trafford.
And many from the Red Devils fanbase appear to want England pair Maguire and Rashford heading for the exit door. "Please sell Maguire and loan out Rashford," pleaded one.
Another commented: "For Ten Hag to succeed, he must get rid of Pogba, Maguire, Rashford, Martial, Shaw, CR7 and Wan-Bissaka as quickly as possible. In CR7’s case, he’ll be 38 next year and no serious team in the world would want to rebuild a team around a 38yr old player, Hence he MUST LEAVE."
One supporter also suggested a replacement for Rashford, writing: "Erik Ten Hag first assignment sell Rashford x Maguire bring in Anthony #mfc He is better than Rashford past present and future technically physically and psychologically."
"Erik ten Hag need 10 new players to get the job done at Manchester United. KING Maguire, Shaw, Wan bissaka, Rashford, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Jones, McTominay, Pogba and Bailly must leave the club. The team need total overhaul," a fellow frustrated fan added.
Both Maguire and Rashford have endured torrid campaigns which reached another low point in the 4-0 humiliation at Liverpool in the week. United legend Roy Keane tore into both men on Sky Sports after the match.
Who should be first on Ten Hag's chopping block? Let us know in the comments section.
The pundit said: "Rashford’s performance, he played like a child upfront. Jesse Lingard coming on to save Manchester United? Defensively we are trying to help out Maguire, but that last goal is not acceptable for Manchester United.
"We talk about that rebuild again but Manchester United need to get some quality players in to try and compete. I don’t know if we’re fifth or sixth in the league, Manchester United fifth or sixth in the league? Unbelievable."
