Manchester United have 16 stars who are set to feature at the World Cup over the next month. The Red Devils will be the joint-most represented Premier League side at the tournament alongside rivals Manchester City.

Express Sport brings you a run-down of when every United player will feature over the next few weeks. The list is in order of who plays their maiden World Cup match first. 

Tyrell Malacia (Netherlands, Group A)

Netherlands v Senegal, 4pm, Monday, November 21

Netherlands v Ecuador, 4pm, Friday, November 25

Netherlands v Qatar, 3pm, Tuesday, November 29

Tyrell Malacia’s Netherlands are widely expected to win their group. The left-back could come up against his English club team-mates in the last-16.

Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire (England, Group B)

England vs Iran, 1pm, Monday, November 21

England vs USA, 7pm, Friday, November 25

England vs Wales, 7pm, Tuesday, November 29

All eyes will be on whether Harry Maguire starts England’s first game against Iran given his poor club form. Luke Shaw is in line to start at left-back, while Marcus Rashford could be used as a super-sub. 

Lisandro Martinez (Argentina, Group C)

Argentina v Saudi Arabia, 10am, Tuesday, November 22

Argentina v Mexico, 7pm, Saturday, November 26

Argentina v Poland, 7pm, Wednesday, November 30

Lisandro Martinez has enjoyed a positive start to his Man Utd career. The centre-back will hope to go far at the World Cup with Argentina. 

Raphael Varane (France, Group D)

France v Australia, 7pm, Tuesday, November 22

France v Denmark, 4pm, Saturday, November 26

Tunisia v France, 3pm, , Wednesday, November 30

Group D sees a couple of clashes of Red Devils stars. Raphael Varane’s France are expected to top the group and could meet England in the quarter-final.

Christian Eriksen (Denmark, Group D)

Denmark v Tunisia, 1pm, Tuesday, November 22

Denmark v France, 4pm, Saturday, November 26

Denmark v Australia, 3pm, Wednesday, November 30

Christian Eriksen has embarked on a remarkable 18 months since his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020. The playmaker will be a key player for Denmark, who will harbour aspirations of finishing runners-up in Group D.

Hannibal Mejbri (Tunisia, Group D)

Tunisia v Denmark, 1pm, Tuesday, November 22

Tunisia v Australia, 10am, Saturday, November 26

Tunisia v France, 3pm, Wednesday, November 30

Hannibal Mejbri – who is on loan at Birmingham – turned down the chance to play for Group D rivals France and now has 18 caps for Tunisia. The country were in England’s group at the 2018 World Cup. 

Antony, Casemiro, Fred, Alex Telles (Brazil, Group G)

Brazil vs Serbia, 7pm, Thursday, November 24

Brazil vs Switzerland, 4pm, Monday, November 28

Brazil vs Cameroon, 7pm, Friday, December 2

The strongest United representation comes in the form of strong World Cup favourites Brazil. Antony, Casemiro, Fred, loaned-out Alex Telles and co. are bidding for a first World Cup triumph since 2002.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot (Portugal, Group H)

Portugal v Ghana, 4pm, Thursday, November 24

Portugal v Uruguay, 7pm, Monday, November 28

Portugal v South Korea, 3pm, Friday, December 2

All eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo following his blockbuster interview. A good World Cup for the forward could earn him more January transfer window interest. 

Facundo Pellistri (Uruguay, Group H)

Uruguay v South Korea, 1pm, Thursday, November 24

Uruguay v Portugal, 7pm, Monday, November 28

Uruguay v Ghana, 3pm, Friday, December 2

United outcast Facundo Pellistri could come up against Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot in Group H.
