Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish has been heavily linked with Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his attacking ranks ahead of the new campaign. The 25-year-old is believed to be one of a number of options under consideration by the Red Devils, who are understood to be chasing a move for Borussia Dortmund winger and long-term target Jadon Sancho.
The Camberwell native has reportedly agreed personal terms with the 20-time Premier League champions, with negotiations at club level the only obstacle holding up the proposed switch.
Sancho is said to be keen on joining United after another thoroughly impressive campaign in Germany, with the forward providing 38 goal contributions in all competitions.
Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman has also been mentioned in connection with a summer move to Old Trafford after rejecting the offer of a new contract with the Bundesliga heavyweights.
However, it seems as though United’s relentless pursuit of Sancho has the potential to damage their hopes of completing a deal for Grealish or any of their other attacking targets.
Chelsea have also been credited with a strong interest in the Villa man, who was named on the bench for England’s opening Euro 2020 clash with Croatia on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel is reportedly aiming to lead a fruitful summer window ahead of next season despite leading the Blues to Champions League glory less than a month ago.
Manchester City are another side believed to be keeping tabs on Grealish, with the newly-crowned Premier League champions and Chelsea seemingly better placed to land the forward than United.
The Red Devils risk making the same mistake they made last summer in throwing all of their eggs into one basket with regards to Sancho.
The 21-year-old came agonisingly close to joining United a year ago, but Dortmund refused to sell their prized asset after their demands were not met.
The Premier League giants were then forced to settle for the addition of Facundo Pellistri, who is very much one for the future, as their only wide player signed during last year’s summer window.
Grealish would be the perfect back-up option if United fail in their pursuit of Sancho for a second time in as many seasons.
The arrival of Coman would also go a long way to providing the star quality that is desperately needed in order to challenge City for next season’s Premier League title.
However, United prioritising their interest in the Dortmund star above all else will only suit their cross-city rivals and Chelsea, who could snap up the club’s other targets and potentially leave the Red Devils empty-handed at the start of the new campaign.
It remains to be seen whether Sancho will eventually arrive at Old Trafford, with transfers never finalised until the player involved has signed on the dotted line.
His addition to United’s ranks would undoubtedly serve as a huge coup for Solskjaer, who would stand a greater chance of ending the club’s four-year trophy drought with another world-class operator at his disposal.
But if the move falls through at the eleventh hour once again, the Norwegian boss would surely reap the benefits of keeping his options open before he is left out in the cold by United’s divisional rivals.
