Man Utd could face Andreas Pereira problem in summer once Lazio loan ends

Manchester United could face the prospect of having to find a team to buy Andreas Pereira this summer, with Lazio unlikely to sign him permanently.

The midfielder has been out on loan at the Serie A side this season, having fallen out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Argentine midfielder has made 21 appearances across all competitions this season and has played in a range of different positions.

However, most of those appearances have come from the bench, and he's started just two league games.

Pereira was allowed to leave last summer as Solskjaer was eager to rebuild his squad, but the Red Devils were only able to organise a loan move.

United's agreement with Lazio allows for the Italian side to sign Pereira on a permanent deal this summer.

The asking price has been set at €25million [£21m], and it seems Lazio don't want to pay that fee.

As a result, United will have to try and shop him around this summer in order to recoup some money for him.

Pereira's contract at Old Trafford runs until 2023, and it seems teams are in no rush to release him from that deal.

United are set for a busy summer transfer window, and are believed to be eager to sign a new centre-back and centre-forward.

Solskjaer apparently wants a new partner for Harry Maguire, as well as someone to provide another option up top.
