Transfer update: Man Utd 'agree personal terms' with Varane
With Euro 2020 now out the way, the transfer window is expected to get busier as Premier League clubs strengthen their squads for the upcoming 2020-21 season. Express Sport reporter Ryan Taylor is on hand to answer your questions about all the latest gossip and rumours from this summer’s window.
Having closed a deal for Jadon Sancho that should be announced imminently, Manchester United have moved their attentions towards Raphael Varane.
The Real Madrid centre-back is the top target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and Varane is said to be keen on a switch to Old Trafford.
United are thought to be close to agreeing personal terms with the French defender, who has only 12 months left on his contract in Madrid.
Are the Red Devils picking the right centre-half in Varane? What do they need next after a defender? Let us know in the comments.
Elsewhere Chelsea are thought to be readying a first official bid for Erling Haaland which would consist of Tammy Abraham plus cash.
Borussia Dortmund are desperate not to lose the Norwegian striker and rate the 20-year-old at around £150million.
The Blues are hoping Abraham, who they think is worth £50m, can bring that fee down and make Dortmund more agreeable to a deal having already lost Sancho.

There’s plenty going on with other Premier League clubs too, with Liverpool and Chelsea both linked to Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez.
Having signed Nuno Tavares, Arsenal are soon expected to close the signings of Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White.
While Tottenham, under new management in Nuno Espirito Santo, are desperate to keep Harry Kane and want Danny Ings to be his new strike partner.
Jack Grealish is also being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City.
