Man Utd ‘call possible Solskjaer replacement’ after Cristiano Ronaldo’s advice
Manchester United have reportedly contacted Zinedine Zidane under the recommendation of Cristiano Ronaldo as pressure continues to pile on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United conceded four to Leicester City over the weekend, and the Red Devils have now failed to win their last three Premier League games.
And Solskjaer could be a dead man walking as United face a tough run of fixtures, starting on Wednesday night with Atalanta.
But United could already have his replacement lined up should the Norwegian be shown the door.
According to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, the Red Devils have contacted Zidane under the recommendation of Ronaldo.
The Frenchman has had two separate spells at Los Blancos, between 2016 and 2018, before a second stint between 2019 and 2021.
In that time, Zidane claimed two La Liga titles, but more importantly, he got his hands on the Champions League three times.
And Ronaldo was central to each of Real Madrid's Champions League triumphs under Zidane, with the last coming shortly before his move to Juventus in 2018.
The pair split up when Ronaldo left for the Serie A.

However, Gary Neville reckons his former side should stick with Solskjaer.
"He should be under massive pressure with the squad that's been assembled and the fact he's been in the job two-and-a-half, nearly three years," Neville said on Monday Night Football.
"But the club are not going to change him and the club are going to stick with him until the end of the season.
"I've got Manchester United fans on my social media timeline all the time saying, 'Gary, he's your mate, you won't call him out.'
"No, I won't, no I won't and I won't call Steve Kean out or Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
"I'm not going to come on this show 11 years later and ask for a manager to be sacked, it's never gonna happen.
"He's a club legend, he's my teammate, I actually like him a lot and Manchester United have failed with two previous managers who have been world-class."
