Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing out-of-favour Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso before the end of the transfer window.

Tolisso, 27, has had a grim injury record at Bayern, only playing 57 league games across four seasons since his arrival in 2017.

The Frenchman is not expected to be a part of Julian Nagelsmann’s plans for the upcoming season as the new managers pursues Marcel Sabitzer, who he had a great relationship with at RB Leipzig.

Now L’Equipe report that a number of clubs, including Premier League giants Man United and Arsenal are among the likely destinations for Tolisso.

Juventus and West Ham are also said to be interested in the central-midfielder as his time in Bavaria appears to be drawing to a close.

However, Tolisso’s contract expires next summer which could see him choose to leave on a free then if no respectable offers or suitable clubs come in for him.

The World Cup winner from 2018 has had a fall from grace in recent seasons and found it difficult to get into the starting line-up even when he was fit under Hansi Flick last season.

He was nonetheless taken to Euro 2020 where he started for France against Portugal and made two other substitute appearances.

Man United could make a bid for the former Lyon player this summer with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking for an additional midfielder.

With no progress in trying to sign targets Saul Niguez and Eduardo Camavinga, Tolisso could be a suitable option if the Red Devils look past his worrying injury record.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also lacking in creative players and the Frenchman could be a cheaper alternative to Leicester City’s James Maddison, though they offer different qualities in midfield.
